According to the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Law, in order to exercise the profession of speech-language pathologist / speech-language therapist, interested individuals must register with the Cyprus Register of Speech-Language Pathologists.
Article 6 of the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Law of 2001 states the Qualifications required for registration.
Under clause (c) of Article 6, the applicant must “hold a degree or diploma in speech-language pathology or speech-language therapy or logopaedics, recognised by the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications.”
Interested individuals are advised to obtain an Equivalence Certificate of their Degree from the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications.
In the meantime, the application for entry in the Register may be completed by the interested individual and sent to the address stated on the application, so that it may take its turn for review. All copies attached to the application must be certified (True copy of the original)
At this stage of review of the application, no payment is necessary.
Upon receiving the application for entry in the Register, an sms is sent to confirm that the application has been received and the applicant is informed accordingly if any evidence/forms are missing.
Applications are considered at the meetings of the Registration Council held approximately every three months.

Special procedures apply for Applicants who are citizens of EU member states in accordance with the Harmonising Law 31(I)/2008 on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications 2005/36/ΕC). Interested individuals are requested to contact the Council for further information.
Once the application for entry in the Register is approved, the registration fee amounting to €51.26 must be paid in view of the issue of the Registration Certificate. (Under Article 4(1) of the Registration of Speech-Language Pathologists Regulations of 2005).
The Registration Certificate is the only proof that a professional is a speech-language pathologist, registered with the Cyprus Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists. The Certificate is sent once the amount of €51.26 has been deposited into the account of the Cyprus Registration Council of Speech-Language Pathologists, No. 121- 01- 346304- 01 with the Hellenic Bank and the deposit slip has been sent to the following address:

In case the deposit slip cannot be sent by post, the relevant payment details can be sent through email at firstname.lastname@example.org. As soon as this is done the Registration Certificate will be prepared and sent.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When you make the deposit, ask the cashier to enter the name of the registered speech language pathologist in full in the field named “details”.
